The Terminator of Democracy
In 1933, as a pretext for declaring an emergency to suspend civil liberties, Nazis set fire to the Reichstag building and blamed it on Communist agitators. Soon afterward, Nazi rule was established in Germany with Hitler as its dictator. Ninety-plus years later, Trump has used multiple pretexts to justify the suspension of civil liberties: he completely fabricated crime emergencies in D.C. and Minneapolis, he falsely equated peaceful demonstrators as insurrectionists, and he continually claims voter fraud where none exists. None of these pretexts have worked.
But the pretext of Iran as an imminent threat to the U.S. might. With no justifications from Netanyahu or Trump, both began bombing Iran. Iran is a violent repressive theocracy attempting to become a nuclear power. In June 2025, Trump bombed Iran's nuclear facilities and claimed that they were "completely and totally obliterated." His February 28, 2026 bombing was based on a “feeling” that Iran was going to attack us. He provided no evidence.
When asked about Russia giving Iran intel to attack U.S. assets and personnel, Trump essentially shrugged, then removed some sanctions on Russia. He is aiding and abetting an enemy hoping for a pretext to suspend civil liberties. Trump is also using his war of choice to distract from the Epstein files.
Trump can’t be shamed, he can’t be trusted, he can’t be educated, and he can’t be reasoned with. He is immune to facts and logic. He has no morals, no ethics, and no sense of fair play. He feels neither pity nor remorse. And he will not stop until he is declared dictator – even if he destroys the United States and possibly the world in the process. He is a traitor who belongs in prison.
